"Intensely vibrant tropical fruit aromas with grassy notes of fennel combine with flavors of zesty citrus and white fruits."

Rueda’s main grape variety, Verdejo, gets its distinct complexity from stressful growing conditions and mineral-rich soil.  Verdejo is the aromatic grape variety behind the crisp white wines of central Spain. Full-bodied examples like this are held in high regard, displaying herbaceous, nutty characters with balanced acidity.

The best Verdejo grapes from 40-year-old vines are harvested in September; following gentle maceration and fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks the wine is aged for 5 months on fine lees, with bâtonnage in vats, to enhance the depth and complexity of the flavor.
