Douro is one of the wildest, most mountainous and rugged wine regions of Portugal, cut through in deep twists and turns by the River Douro. The vines cling to steep slopes along the banks of the river and its tributaries. is primarily known for port wine production. This wine is made from Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, grape varieties that are also used in port wine production.

The vines are cultivated on slaty, granitic soils. When the grapes arrive at the winery, they are de-stemmed and crushed. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27°C.
Dark, inky purple color. Fruity taste with hints of spicy oak, blackberry, plum, chocolate, violet, vanilla, mint and blueberry.
Serve at 16-18 °C with lamb and beef dishes or rich pasta sauces.
